Cultural learning is an important part of being a loving citizen and a good neighbor. We are working to build a movement of committed and passionate cultural advocates.Your gift supports:

  • Direct cash awards and assistance for traditional heritage-based artists to sustain their work, inspire innovation and pass on traditional knowledge within their communities, such as our annual Master-Apprentice awards.
  • Celebrations such as Tucson Meet Yourself and neighborhood-based heritage planning and cultural development to help build equity and respect for cultural expression and folklife.  
  • Education, documentation and cross-cultural sharing of the rich cultural traditions in the Greater Southwest, such as the cultural reporting offered through our e-journal Borderlore.
